When it entered service in 1966, the Chieftain was a behemoth. With the addition of ‘Stillbrew’ armour its Front Armour 18 makes it one of the best protected tanks in the world. The massive rifled 120mm gun has also withstood the test of time. With an anti-tank rating of 22 it can penetrate any tank in existence at long range.
