Disney Lorcana TCG

Disney Lorcana is a trading card game (TCG) co-created by Disney and tabletop games publisher, Ravensburger. Similar to popular TCGs such as Magic: The Gathering and the Pokemon TCG, players collect Lorcana cards through booster packs and build decks to compete against each other to produce 20 ‘lore’ points first. Ravensburger, who have previously collaborated with Disney on the Villainous series of tabletop games, are developing and publishing Disney Lorcana, marking their first venture into the world of TCGs.

The Realm Of Lorcana

In the game, players are transported into the enchanting realm of Lorcana, a world that blends magic and mythical storytelling. As they embark on their journey, players take on the role of an Illumineer, a powerful sorcerer entrusted with great responsibility. The adventure begins when players discover a colossal invention in the Great Illuminary, a building that holds the collective knowledge of all Disney stories. The Inkcaster, a wand-like gadget, is the player's primary tool. Using the Inkcaster, players wield magical ink to summon new versions of Disney characters and items, which are called glimmers. These glimmers—some familiar, some fantastic—will help players as they race across Lorcana to find and collect missing pieces of lore. Endless quests await! 

Playing the Game

Disney Lorcana is a strategy card game where each player makes their own deck before the game starts, and the decks aren’t mixed together. You can play with one of the available ready-to-play decks, make changes to one of those decks, or build a deck that’s entirely your own.

In this game, you race to locate pieces of lore scattered across Lorcana and collect them for safekeeping. Summon glimmers of Disney characters and items along the way to help with quests, hinder your opponents, and challenge opposing characters. With the right strategy and a bit of luck, you can preserve your collected lore against future threats!

Your goal is to be the first player to gain 20 or more lore. Some card abilities give you lore, but the most common way to gain it is by playing characters and sending them on quests.

Disney Lorcana gameplay requires each player to have a deck of 60 cards. Lorcana starter decks come with a specific card list, including two foil cards of characters displayed on the packaging. In addition to the 60-card starter deck, each kit includes 11 game tokens, a rulebook, and a booster pack with 12 randomised cards.
