The Wars of the Roses, a time of civil war to fight for the throne of England between Richard III of the royal House of Plantagenet and Henry VII of the houses of Lancaster and York. The final victory went to a Lancastrian claimant at the Battle of Bosworth Field.
Depicting the English Army at the height of the Hundred Years War, when the English bowmen dominated the field of battle in France. Based in the period from the Battle of Agincourt, all Men at Arms are dressed in the full plate harness which was now the norm for gentry, the real beginnings of real full plate armour. These heavily armoured men at arms on foot that marched at the forefront of their army, being able to take more of the brunt thrown at them. While English bowmen rain down death from the skies, with hails of arrows that pierce the leather armour of their enemies. This kit provides all the parts to make beautifully made warriors armed with polearms, Swords and shields and bows.
