Polish Army TK3 Tankette
In years 1929-1939 Polish Army has designed, produced and tested many versions of tankettes. The latest variant was TK-3, developed in early 1931. Armed with single 7.92mm Hotchkins MG, with the armour thick up-to 8mm TK-3s were considered rather recon and support vehicle rather than unassisted, independent units. With no AT weapons, tankettes stood no chance against German tanks (with the exception of Panzer I). Due to lack of armoured forces, most of the time being only available fighting vehicles, tankettes and its crews were often outmatched. A significant number of TK tanks were destroyed or abandoned, because of lack of fuel or numerous malfunctions.
